  • Posted on

Law Firm, Pearson Solicitors and Financial Advisers have this month reported a record 28% growth of the business and on top of that have secured the Law Society’s legal practice quality mark, Lexcel for the 15th consecutive year.

Highest growth areas of the business are in Corporate Commercial work, Litigation, Clinical Negligence and Financial Services.

Commenting on the news Managing Partner, Joanne Ormston said:  “It has been an amazing year for us, we have our highest turnover and profit ever recorded – growth of 12.5% in fee income and 28% increase in profit.

Business clients are viewing us a real alternative to the big Manchester firms and like the personal friendly service we offer. Over 75% of our business is from recommendation and repeat business so clients obviously like the service we offer and we are continuing to work hard, invest in the firm and satisfy the needs of clients.

“Our performance represents an upward trend and I believe we have firmly cemented our place as the law firm of choice for individuals and businesses in the area,” added Joanne.

New staff additions in the commercial department and solicitors joining from city centre firms, as well as a significant investment in IT during 2017 has also boosted the growing firm towards a turnover of over £3.5 million.

After a recent detailed inspection of files and office procedures, including interviews with solicitors and staff, the Law Society’s practice management standard was awarded Lexcel in recognition of Pearson’s high standards in customer care and management.

As Joanne added:  “This is welcome pat on the back after a very busy year and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff.”

Anne Milne, of Lexcel, said:  “Gaining and maintaining Lexcel for so many years is a considerable feat for Pearson’s.  The scheme is a beacon of quality to clients and potential clients alike and their exemplary work is what it is all about and I congratulate them on continued success.
