Further expansion of our property team

  • Posted on

The property market in the North is, largely, holding its own and enjoying a brighter outlook than most other regions in the UK - despite the impending Brexit and economic uncertainty. This has been reflected in our results this year: Pearson's property team have had a great run and both our turnover and profits are up.

This is great news for us, and, we believe, an indication of our clients' satisfaction with the legal services we provide. It also suggests that our clients are navigating the pre-Brexit jitters successfully too.

Investing our profits back into the business

Clients will continue to benefit from our success as we are reinvesting those profits back into the business. This reinvestment will help our continual efforts to improve and streamline our services to keep ahead of the market.

For example, we recently invested in a new conveyancing portal. This software enables our conveyancing clients to access the details of their transaction and keep up to date. It has been received very well so far.

New members of the team to help with our increasing workload

As you would expect, a large part of our investment is made in our people – after all, our lawyers, executives and assistants are the ones who meet our clients’ needs. To maintain our service levels with our increased workloads, we have appointed a new conveyancing executive, Gillian Hawley. Gillian will assist with running conveyancing files alongside Victoria Marshall and Sarah Major.

We have also promoted Alison Brown to paralegal following her recent success in her Council of Licensed Conveyancers exams. Alison will continue to provide support to both Michael Pitt and me in commercial property work.

More job opportunities in our property law team

We expect our workload to increase in the next few years. We are always on the lookout for high calibre individuals who want to work with our forward thinking team. If you are interested in property law (both residential and commercial) and want to work with us – get in touch.
