Michael Pitt
Mike is a very experienced property solicitor and is currently part of our busy Commercial Property Department. He also has a wealth of experience in residential property and supports the team across this area from time to time, working closely with investor/buy to let landlord clients.
The Commercial Property team at Pearson is a busy hub, with clients who return time and time again and have built up an excellent working relationship with Mike over the years.
Commercial clients come from industrial, retail, commercial and agricultural property areas and his years of experience and business acumen brings rigorous attention to detail and a commercially minded approach.
People like to work with people they trust, who they know will do a good job for them, keep the lines of communication open and above all get on with the job on their behalf. I enjoy working in property, seeing the successes as clients move into new premises, sorting out the minutiae behind the deal and managing the job through to completion.
He has been with the firm since 1984 and has seen many changes to the legal landscape in that time. He is a former president of the Oldham Law Association, a great mentor to our younger staff, a former supporter of the Partners in Law programme providing guidance and encouraging young law students at Oldham University and a former independent Business Governor at Oldham Sixth Form College.
His spare time is taken up with looking after a growing number of grandchildren. He is also a keen sportsman enjoying hill walking and mountain biking.
