Keith Kennedy

Keith heads up our Corporate and Commercial Department and has more than 15 years’ experience acting for businesses and business owners.

He advises on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including:

  • acquisitions and disposals;
  • management buy-outs;
  • joint ventures and shareholders’ agreements;
  • LLP members’ and partnership agreements;
  • company formations and corporate constitution; and
  • corporate re-organisations.

Keith is recommended in a recent edition of the Legal 500.

Clients range from entrepreneurs and SMEs to large corporates, spanning a broad range of sectors. Keith has seen many of his clients grow from start-ups to well established businesses and enjoys advising throughout the business cycle. Clients praise his straightforward, commercial approach and ability to find solutions to often complex issues.

Keith has particular experience in the telecoms, software, manufacturing and retail sectors. He is ideal for demanding entrepreneurs, acquisitive companies and exiting shareholders.

Keith works closely with our Commercial Litigation and Commercial Property Departments on shareholder disputes and the corporate aspects of property deals respectively. He also assists the firm’s Employment Department with contracts and settlement agreements involving shareholdings, and our Financial Services Department, who help shareholders invest sale proceeds.  

Keith studied law and graduated in 1997. He worked in the United Arab Emirates prior to starting with Manchester firm Berg (now part of international law firm, Kennedys) in 1999, where he was a Partner for several years before joining Pearson in 2015.

Married with one son and a daughter, Keith likes to spend his spare time in the great outdoors, whether walking, trail running or mountain biking. He also enjoys anything car related, photography and (most of all) watching Ireland win the occasional game of rugby.
