Victoria Schofield

Employment Solicitor

Victoria is local to the area, and has lived in and around Greater Manchester all her life.

Before qualifying as a solicitor, and after her university education, she worked for HM Customs & Excise as a VAT officer which gave her a great insight into the workings of the law on a practical level. After having her 2 daughters she undertook her legal training and then joined the Addleshaws law firm in Manchester as a legal assistant during which time she commenced a professional law conversion course.

Her previous legal career has included training with the former Mace and Jones solicitors in Manchester and Knutsford, working for the former Equal Opportunities Commission (as was) and several years as an employment solicitor with national firm Thompsons Solicitors. Most recently she has been working for another Greater Manchester law firm, dealing with employment claims for one of the country’s largest trade unions.

She has in excess of 10 years’ experience of dealing exclusively with employment matters, and has successfully concluded hundreds of claims for clients. Her experience acting for employees means that she can apply a fresh perspective to identifying areas of risk for employers and bring a new approach to dealing with their concerns as well.

Away from work and family commitments, Victoria plays tennis in her leisure time and she also has a rescue dog and enjoys walking in the foothills of the Pennines and Saddleworth area.
