Child Care Solicitor reaccredited to the Children Law Panel
Pearson Solicitors are proud to announce that Rebecca Wolfenden, a solicitor and key member of our Child Care team, has once again been reaccredited to the Law Society’s Children Law Accreditation Scheme, a distinguished recognition she has held since 2019.
Specialist in Family and Children Law
This reaccreditation is a testament not only to Rebecca’s legal expertise but also to her unwavering commitment to supporting children and families through some of the most complex and sensitive areas of law.
Rebecca is widely respected for her sympathetic, practical, and non-confrontational approach to Children and Family Law. Her primary focus is always on helping clients reach effective resolutions as swiftly and amicably as possible, with a strong emphasis on minimising the emotional impact of separation on children.
Legal expertise in care proceedings
Rebecca’s core area of expertise lies in Care work, particularly when the Local Authority becomes involved with children and their families. She offers guidance and representation from the earliest stages, including:
- Pre-proceedings and PLO (Public Law Outline) meetings
- Care proceedings
- Applications involving Special Guardianship Orders, Child Arrangements Orders, and Care Orders (including applications for their discharge)
She is frequently instructed to act on behalf of children in care proceedings, taking her instructions from the child’s Guardian to ensure that the child’s voice is heard and respected throughout the legal process.
A Compassionate and Committed Advocate
Rebecca brings a deep sense of purpose and compassion to her work. She says:
“Guiding and supporting people through difficult times is what I find most rewarding. Seeing families make the changes needed for better outcomes and ensuring children are safeguarded from harm is what makes this work so meaningful.”
Whether she is advising a parent during the pre-court process, helping a child return safely home, or advocating for protective orders in cases of domestic abuse, Rebecca’s calm and focused approach remains rooted in achieving positive outcomes for all involved.
A recognised and accredited specialist
In addition to her reaccreditation to the Law Society’s Children Law Panel, Rebecca is also:
- An Accredited Specialist Family Lawyer with Resolution (specialising in Children Law – Private, and Domestic Abuse)
- A member of Resolution, the organisation committed to non-confrontational family dispute resolution
- A member of Child Concern, supporting best practice and safeguarding in children law
Rebecca’s reaccreditation reflects both her professional excellence and the deep care she brings to every case.
