Pearson Solicitors Shortlisted for Manchester Legal Award

For the second year running Pearson Solicitors and Financial Advisers in Oldham have been shortlisted for ‘Law Firm of the Year - small (1- 5 partners)’ at the 2024 Manchester Legal Awards.

The shortlist was announced by Fran Eccles-Bech, Chief Executive at The Manchester Law Society and said:

“It was a really difficult job for the judges again, with the most entries we have ever had this year and the calibre of those entries being extremely high.”

Manchester Legal Awards

The awards were first launched by Fran in 2009 and this year, there are 21 award categories that Manchester law firms can enter, each with strict entry criteria and word count.

The entry criteria for the Small Firm of the Year category included:

Detailing your firm’s three top highlights for the year
A section on wellbeing, equality, diversity, and inclusion
A section on attracting new clients
Describing what single factor has contributed to the success of your firm

All finalists will participate in in-person interviews on 10th May with the winners being announced at the official awards ceremony on Thursday, 6th June at The Midland Hotel in Manchester.

Joanne Ormston, Director and Practice Manager, said:

“It’s been quite the year at Pearson with highlights including winning the ‘Supporting Young People’ award at the Oldham Business Awards, ranking in The Legal 500 as a ‘Leading Law Firm’ and acquiring a Rochdale-based law firm. This is in addition to having our best year to date with revenue growth increasing to over £5.6million and profits up by an impressive 44 percent compared to last year.

“We have been shortlisted for the Small Firm of the Year for the second year running which is a real achievement. All our staff are rooting for us to bring home the award in June, so fingers crossed as they say!”
