About Gary

Gary qualified as a Solicitor in 2001 and started his career at Clough & Willis Solicitors in Bury, Greater Manchester before moving to niche commercial firm, Lockett, Loveday & McMahon in the centre of Manchester in 2003, where he specialised in Commercial Property matters for the Commercial property and Company Commercial Departments. In 2005 Gary moved back to Bury to work for Woodcocks Solicitors where he stayed for nearly 20 years, the last 12 years as a Partner and then a Director following the merger of Woodcocks with Haworth & Nuttall Solicitors.

Gary joined Pearson Solicitors in April 2024 specialising in all types of commercial property matters including land and property acquisitions and disposals and Landlord & Tenant matters. Gary has extensive experience of dealing with all kinds of property matters for a variety of clients across the whole of England including, owner managed businesses, limited companies and PLCs, charities and Care providers) across a diverse range of sectors (including construction, retail, services, manufacturing, engineering, healthcare, and professionals).

Gary now specialises in commercial property, using his experience to help clients navigate complex property acquisitions and disposals whether by sale and purchase or lease arrangements and comprising all types of ancillary documentation such as contracts conditional on planning permission, Development Agreements, s.106 Agreements, Overage Agreements, Option and Exclusivity Agreements.

Gary also has a particular interest in assisting charities and care homes in acquiring properties for their authorised purposes.
