Sophia Rawlings
Sophia joined our medical negligence department after gaining experience in catastrophic injury work. She is keen to work with clients who have suffered from negligent treatment across the board and work with them to achieve the necessary compensation to help rebuild their lives.
She previously worked in the Employers and Public Liability department of a large law firm before joining Pearson Solicitors.
Sophia has already completed her LLB Hons Law at Lancaster University, receiving a 2:1 and a first-class dissertation exploring the changes to the right to protest in the UK.
Whilst working alongside the medical negligence team at Pearson she will be studying for the LLM and Legal Practice Course at BPP University in Manchester, intending to start her training contract in August 2024.
I am really keen to use my legal knowledge to help those who have been the victim of medical negligence and ensure they have all of the emotional, physical, financial and legal support they require following life changing events that were not their fault.
Her achievements out of work are impressive and she was the Northwest regional springboard diving champion for 8 consecutive years during which she represented Oldham and the Northwest at various National Championships and elite level competitions.
She also enjoys trampolining and playing netball in the evenings and at the weekend when not studying for her LPC.
An interesting fact about Sophia: She is a classically trained clarinettist and saxophonist and likes to sing in her spare time.
