  • Posted on

Oldham Bereavement Support Service is a registered charity based at Royal Oldham Hospital run by team of trained volunteers who visit bereaved people in their own homes or by appointment at The Whiteside Centre.  Their aim to offer support to those who have suffered a loss, giving the bereaved person the opportunity to use such support to talk through and express their grief as they come to terms with their loss.

Oldham Bereavement Support Service organise an annual memorial service for parents, family and friends mourning the loss of a child.

The service this year is taking place on Sunday 27 October 2019 between 2 and 3pm and is being held at Firwood Church on Middleton Road in Oldham.

Jacqui White, one of our Medical Negligence Solicitors sits on the Oldham Bereavement Support Service board and will be organising the service this year.

“Anyone is welcome to come along to the Memorial Service,” explains Jacqui.  “It’s an opportunity for people to gather together and express their grief in a non-judgemental way.  There will be songs and readings and refreshments served afterwards.”
