INSIGHT: Calling Manufacturers in the Oldham area
If you have a manufacturing business or have recruitment expertise then The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is seeking your assistance in a campaign aimed at promoting a change in behaviour among out of work jobseekers.
The campaign will be based in three areas in the North of England including Oldham, and the manufacturing sector will be a particular focus.
The aim is to encourage jobseekers back to work by providing help, tips and support on the best ways to get back to work. This is specifically aimed at unemployed people that are more eager to find work and are likely to know the basics of where and how to look for work, rather than those further away from the job market.
Research shows that jobseekers particularly value the opinions of employers and recruitment specialists when it comes to hearing tips and advice on helping their job search.
As a result DWP are looking for manufacturing employers and recruitment specialists in Oldham who would be willing to work with them to help provide the content on a new online 'jobseekers hub'. This could involve being filmed for video content or providing the information to be used as static content such as advice, fact sheets and infographics.
